Danish Hardwood is now part of HD Silva
We are pleased to inform you that as of January 1st 2023 Danish Hardwood is part of HedeDanmark Group.
On 1 October 2024, all business units under Hedeselskabet changed their name to Dalgas. This applies to HedeDanmark, HD 2412, HD NordicTrees, HD Silva, HD BioRec, HD Forest, HD Forest Germany, HD Seed, and HD LogSystems.
All former employees at Danish Hardwood is joining HedeDanmark’s large organization and will be part ofthe hardwood export division, HD Silva.
HedeDanmark is one of Denmark's largest log producers, and the acquisition of Danish Hardwood will significantly strengthen HedeDanmark's competitiveness.

Danish Hardwood Managing Director Jens Schou Hansen has been part of the company since 1984 and, together with all the remaining employees, is moving to HedeDanmark's premises in Sorø, which is less than 15 kilometers from the current location in Ugerløse.
- HedeDanmark has been one of our closest business partners for a number of years, so it is not an unknown company that we now belong to. The merger between the two companies makes a lot of sense, not least in the competitive market in which we operate. I look forward to continuing our business in the Far East and expanding the market in Europe together with the new forces that are now joining, says Jens Schou Hansen.

The acquisition will give us greater purchasing power, and we will be professionally enhanced in the handling and sale of timber in the container market. Hedeselskabet flytter hovedkontoret til Aarhus – vender tilbage efter mere end 100 år i Viborg
Efter mere end 100 år i Viborg vender Det danske Hedeselskab nu tilbage til Aarhus. Hovedkontoret flytter til byen, hvor selskabet blev stiftet for 160 år siden i 1866 og markerer dermed et nyt kapitel i Hedeselskabets historie.
Hedeselskabet leverer bedste resultat nogensinde
Hedeselskabet realiserede i 2025 en omsætning på 2,37 mia. kr. og et resultat før skat på 109,4 mio. kr. Det er skabt af høj aktivitet i forretningen og medarbejdernes evne til at levere løsninger inden for skov, natur, klima og landskabsforvaltning.
Hedeselskabet fylder 160 år
Den 28. marts 1866 blev Hedeselskabet stiftet en forårsdag i centrum af Aarhus. Gennem resten af 2026 markerer Hedeselskabet jubilæumsåret med en række aktiviteter spredt over hele landet.Articles and inspiration
